

CipSoft Named One of Germany’s 100 Best Employers

March 20, 2025 – CipSoft is among the winners of the “Germany’s Best Employers 2026” competition. With this award, the international institute Great Place to Work honours companies that offer particularly attractive and supportive working conditions. At the same time, CipSoft is reporting the highest revenue in the company’s history: according to preliminary figures, its 113 employees generated over 28 million euros in 2025. This is also the largest workforce the Regensburg-based company has ever had.

December 1, 2025 – In April, CipSoft announced would be taking over the browser game The Settlers Online from Ubisoft. After familiarising itself with the game’s structure and functionality and carefully planning the move, CipSoft has now transferred all game worlds to its infrastructure. The Settlers Online is now also connected to CipSoft’s payment system, which is marketed under the name “MultiPayer”. This marks the successful completion of the migration.

November 24, 2025 – Hunting monsters is one of the core gameplay elements of Tibia. The latest update rewards players for seeking out new hunting grounds and makes levelling even more varied. The Hunting Task System has been completely overhauled and now consists of two pillars. In Bounty Tasks, players choose one of three randomly selected creatures at a difficulty of their choice and then hunt it down. In addition, up to 18 different Weekly Tasks add even more challenges and rewards to the game.

October 21, 2025 – CipSoft has been nominated for the second time in a row as “Studio of the Year” for the German Developer Award (“Deutscher Entwicklerpreis“). The award recognizes creative achievements in the German-speaking games industry and will be presented on December 2 in Cologne. In addition to CipSoft, Toukana Interactive (known for “Dorfromantik”) and Stray Fawn Studio (“The Wandering Village”) were also nominated by the jury, which includes representatives from almost all renowned German development studios. CipSoft previously received the award in 2019 for Tibia.
Persist Online’s New Skill System Enters Testing

July 24, 2025 – CipSoft’s upcoming game, the zombie MMORPG Persist Online, is getting a new skill system. Starting with the next playtest, this will give players even more options for developing characters according to their own preferences. As before, points are earned by performing actions belonging to one of the game’s 25 skill trees, such as firing a shotgun or cutting down a tree. However, players can now invest these points much more freely into various passive and active skills.
