June 8, 2016 – Today is the day on which CipSoft celebrates its 15th birthday. Back then, the company consisted only of the four founders and at peak times 300 players at most were online on the sole game world. In those days, the total earnings came from advertising banners on the game’s website.

"Even though this time was exciting and we enjoyed it a lot, the future was more than uncertain back then," remembers managing director Stephan Vogler.  Only when the new Tibia client was released in August 2002, the number of players really started to take off. This, along with the introduction of Premium accounts, formed the basis for CipSoft's success.

Today things look different; Tibia has almost half a million active players per month, CipSoft has 84 employees and an annual turnover of more than 9 million euros.
