The SonnenNacht 2010 is a charity gala to support the VKKK - an association to support children who are physically handicapped or suffer from cancer. Earnings and donations will be used to finance a parents' house for the children's university hospital of East Bavaria. This house allows parents to stay near their children during their stay in hospital.
The SonnenNacht takes place on February 11 at the Veldodrom Regensburg. All participating artists waive their fee for this event.

On Thursday, October 1, 2009, Ulrich Schlott, managing director of CipSoft, presented 15 servers to the education authority of Regensburg. The former game servers had been released from their active duty at CipSoft and were now donated to schools in Regensburg. Both Mayor Weber and Mr. Holzbauer, computing officer of the Regensburg education authority, were very pleased with the donation which saves the city of Regensburg expenses amounting to € 7,500.

Right in time for the pre-Christmas season, we have launched our Tibia winter update today. In the north of the continent, players can now explore the mysterious realm of the Yalahari. The new island group represents one of the biggest map enlargements of the last years. In addition, countless new monsters, quests, spells and outfits have been added. There have also been some changes concerning gameplay, such as new party spells that will further support the team play on joint adventures. This year CipSoft will be present at the Browsergames Forum in Frankfurt. On November 22nd, Stephan Vogler will talk about User Generated Content in Browsergames and the design principles of successful online services.

FictionFighters is an interactive comic, where players jump into a parallel comic universe to solve world threatening quests, hang around with friends, (fiction-) fight against each other, explore or change numerous chapters of the world’s history or to even create their own stories – and comic strips. Comic strips are the core of Fiction Fighters. Every action and interaction is carried out in comic strips.

The game will be a browser based multiplayer game with all comic panels rendered in 3D on server side. The teaser page offers the possibility to register for the official newsletter in order to get regular updates on the current status.

Today, we have released our annual Tibia summer update. As always we have implemented countless new quests and creatures.
Moreover, we have added a tutorial to help new players to get started more easily. Further, we have improved the communication with NPCs, which will take place in an own NPC channel from now on. A special interface has been introduced to simplify the trade of items with NPCs.

On May 7th, Stephan Vogler will talk about Online Games 2.0 and the design principles of successful Internet applications. The day after, Stephan Börzsönyi will present the techniques of a Massive Multiplayer Online Game Server using Tibia as an example.
